Basic Ingredients
- 4 medium Russet potatoes about 6-8 ounces each – These have the best texture for baking, with a fluffy interior and crispy skin.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil – Helps achieve a golden crispy skin.
- 1 teaspoon sea salt – Enhances flavor and helps draw out moisture for better crisping.
- ½ teaspoon black pepper – Adds a mild kick of seasoning.
- 1 cup water – Needed for the pressure cooking process in the Ninja Foodi.
Optional Toppings & Variations
- Butter – Classic topping for added richness.
- Sour cream – Creamy and tangy for a balanced flavor.
- Shredded cheese – Cheddar mozzarella, or Parmesan for a melty finish.
- Crumbled bacon – Adds a savory crunch.
- Chopped green onions or chives – For freshness and mild onion flavor.
- Garlic powder or onion powder – For extra seasoning.
- Paprika or smoked paprika – Adds a hint of smoky depth.
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Step 2: Pressure Cook the Potatoes
Pour 1 cup of water into the Ninja Foodi’s inner pot. Place the air fryer basket inside and arrange the potatoes in a single layer. Secure the pressure cooking lid, making sure the valve is set to "Seal."
Select the Pressure Cook function and set the time to 15 minutes for medium-sized potatoes (18–20 minutes for larger ones).
Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow a 10-minute natural release, then carefully turn the valve to “Venting” to release any remaining pressure.
Step 3: Air Crisp for a Crispy Skin
Once the pressure cooking is finished, carefully remove the lid. Drain any excess water from the inner pot, then return the potatoes to the air fryer basket.
Brush each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt for added crispiness.
Select the Air Crisp function and set the temperature to 400°F (200°C). Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through, until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
Carefully remove the potatoes from the Ninja Foodi using tongs. Let them cool for a couple of minutes before slicing them open. Fluff the insides with a fork and add your favorite toppings like butter, sour cream, cheese, or fresh herbs.
